My Name is Dan Wilson. I’m in the dark suit and Suki, my wife, is behind me. I was born and raised in Huntington Beach. I enjoy many water related hobbies, surfing, fishing, sailing, boating and swimming just to name a few.
My 1st career started when I was in high school. I found my passion for the culinary arts and persued that profession for over 25 years. Within that time, I have worked in some very interesting places. One being with the Four Seasons Hotels, on a cruise ship that cruised the West coast, and then I served our proud nation in the U.S. Coast Guard. While in the Coast Guard, I was stationed on the Polar Star, 1 of 2 U.S. ice breakers (shown below). My culinary expertise was put to great use as I was the Captains personal chef. I have the proud distinction of having traveled from North Pole to South Pole and everywhere in between and I have touched 6 of our 7 great continents. ( My wife has touched the only one I have not, Africa )
My 2nd career has now blossomed and I have been doing professional estate sales for some time. I am a Certified Antiques & Personal Property Appraiser and a Certified Gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.) and I am a member, and former board member, of Appraisers National Association (A.N.A.).
I work with Families, Executors, Lawyers, Trust Attorneys, Realtors, Retirement Communities and everyone who is part of the estate planning process.
My #1, and most important team member, is my wife Suki. Her credentials include, former Chairperson of Appraisers National Association (A.N.A.), Certified Antiques & Personal Property Appraiser, Certified Gemologist, Certified Fine Arts Appraiser, Certified Textiles Appraiser, Certified Toys & Collectibles Appraiser and soon to be Certified Rare Book Appraiser. WOW! You go, my love.
Suki was born in Iowa and raise in the Midwest. She persued a career in entertainment while in Chicago. She moved to California back in 2000 and has perused her passion in antiques and collectibles.
Since we are both Certified Appraisers, we conform to the rules of USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practices) and to the guidelines set forth by Appraisers National Association (A.N.A.)
